Re-Evolved is the alternate dimension of Cellmod’s 2010 sophomore release, Adevolve. Upon finishing Adevolve, the Tampa based artist enlisted an array of peers throughout varying genres to remix, rearrange and re-imagine the progressive musical themes of his second release. Cellmod allowed his guests—including band mates Ien Oblique, Mangadrive, and frequent collaborator You Shriek—to guide melody and movement in directions previously unexplored on the original pieces. Additionally, Cellmod offers his own retakes on songs such as You Destroy (Destroyer Mix), changing the nature of the work so significantly that ReEvolved as a whole exists as a new cohesive album. The signature sounds and rhythms of Cellmod make way for the newly forged soundscapes of downtempo, industrial, dubstep vintage and dance introduced by the budding artist and his cast of collaborators on the transcedential Re-Evolved.
